Course
Located in Mukilteo, Washington, we provide guests with a challenging and varied golf experience by offering two distinct nines. The front nine of designer Arthur Hills’ acclaimed course features little elevation change, winding through a series of wetlands with water in play on every hole. The front nine is truly the essence of target golf and will challenge you to use every club in your bag.
In stark contrast, the back nine is set among rolling hills, framed by imposing Evergreen trees. The highlight of the back nine is the signature, par-4 11th which offers breathtaking views of the Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains before plummeting over a steep ledge down to the hole’s postage stamp green. Our championship golf course consistently earns praise for the challenge that the course offers, particularly from the back sets of tees.
Par 4
362 yards
Ease into your round on this relatively tame par 4. Challenge the water off the tee to give yourself the best angle and a shorter iron into the green, guarded on the front left by a stand of tall cedar trees. The green gently slopes from left to right, and the back half of the green runs away.
Par 4
425 yards
Harbour Pointe shows its teeth on the second hole, a long par four with a gentle dogleg to the right. Finding the fairway is paramount to a good score here. A good drive to the left center of the fairway should leave you with the best angle into this long, narrow green that slopes from left to right and is guarded by a large bunker on the right, but be forewarned, missing this green to the left will leave even the best players with a challenging up and down.
Par 3
184 yards
Club selection is critical on the first of the short holes on the front nine. This challenging par 3 is played over water to a large green that is well-undulated on the right and tends to flatten out on the left side. The four sand bunkers surrounding the green’s back and sides await any balls that don’t find the putting surface.
Par 5
504 yards
A risk versus reward decision must be made from the tee box on this shorter par 5. Longer hitters can opt to take on the water hazard to the left to have a shot at getting home in two. The safer play is a shorter drive to the right center of the fairway, ensuring you do not go too far to avoid the wetlands. Lay-up shots to the left center of the fairway leave the best approach to a large green, which runs away from front to back and from left to right.
Par 4
414 yards
Another tough par 4 awaits you at the fifth. Players are challenged to thread the needle with their drive, avoiding the big stand of cedar trees on the left and the long stretch of wetlands and alder trees along the right. A well-undulated green awaits a mid to long-iron shot for your second, but avoid the deep bunker front left of the green for your best shot at par.
Par 5
499 yards
Hazards await you on the second of the par 5s on the front. Long hitters should be cautious to avoid the wetlands crossing the fairway 225 yards from the green. Players opting not to go for the green in two can either lay up to 150 yards short of the hole or risk a longer shot over or to the left of the pond on the right side of the second fairway. Two large bunkers protect a broad but shallow green.
Par 3
166 yards
Playing to the front middle might be your best bet for a par on the second of the short holes. Any balls that miss this green to the right are ensured of a watery grave. Balls missing this green to the left will leave a devilish chip, provided it didn’t end up in the wetlands to the left of the stand of trees guarding that side of the green. Aggressive players, beware. This hole can end a good round quickly.
Par 4
323 yards
Long hitters will be tempted to drive the green on this short par 4. Doing so will take a precise tee shot that avoids the water short and right of the green and the tall trees and bunkers to the left. A more prudent play may be to lay to the middle of the fairway, leave yourself a short iron into this relatively flat green, and give yourself a putt at birdie.
Par 4
402 yards
Your first nine ends with a long dogleg left par 4. Long hitters must take extra caution and play short of the pond hidden beyond the 150 pole straight away from the tee. The aggressive players will opt to play to the left side of the fairway for a shorter shot into the green. The green slopes from back to front and gently from right to left away from the three bunkers on the right-hand side. Ending your outward nine with a par or better on this hole will be well-earned.
Par 5
501 yards
The back nine begins with another risk-reward par 5. It takes a good tee shot to find one of the narrower fairways on the course, and then it’s decision time. Big hitters electing to go for the green must avoid the pond awaiting any mishit approach, and players bailing out to the left of the green will face a very tricky pitch to get up and down. Players choosing to lay up should look to leave themselves a shot of 90-125 yards into a green with plenty of undulation.
Par 4
390 yards
Enjoy the picturesque view of Puget Sound and the southern tip of Whidbey Island from this hole, as it’s the best around. Some longer hitters may be tempted to bomb a drive over the crest of the hill in hopes of reaching the green. The more prudent play is to the top of the hill, leaving a 125-150-yard shot into the green. Players may want to play a club or two less on their approach to account for the elevation change. This tricky green is the smallest on the course, so finding the putting surface is a job well done.
Par 3
176 yards
This short, downhill par 3 is harder than it looks from the tee. Choosing the right club off the tee can get interesting as it plays downhill, but often into the prevailing wind. Missing long left or short right will lead to a score above par. The green is narrow from back to front and wide from left to right.
Par 4
356 yards
A good tee shot played to the right of the fairway bunkers on this shorter par 4 should leave you with a good look at the green for your second shot. The green is guarded in the front by two deep bunkers that will surely end all hopes of par. It is also bisected by a large tier that runs away from front to back. Finding yourself on the correct level is a must if you hope to walk away with a par.
Par 4
399 yards
The homeward stretch begins with a long straightaway par 4. The tee shot plays slightly uphill to a wide treelined fairway, leaving most players with a mid to long iron into this tricky green guarded on the front left by two large everyone trees short and left of the green and a lone bunker to the right.
Par 4
412 yards
Long hitters should choose their club wisely on this par 4 as the fairway gives way to a large gully starting 125 yards short of the green. Playing to the right side of the fairway will help you avoid the fairway bunkers and trees that line the left-hand side but will leave you with an approach over a large, deep bunker short and left of the sizeable kidney-shaped green that slopes from left to right.
Par 3
148 yards
The last of the par 3s is also the easiest and your last chance to catch your breath on the way in. Choose enough club to avoid the pot bunker short of the green and you may find yourself with a putt for birdie.
Par 4
416 yards
The penultimate hole on the course is perhaps the toughest. This long, uphill par 4 can test even the best players. Play to the right side of the fairway off of the tee. Second shots that don’t find the putting surface will leave you with a very difficult up and down from any side of the green, severely sloped from back to front and right to left.
Par 5
521 yards
The lone, towering evergreen in the middle of the fairway makes for a great aiming point off of the tee, but longer hitters risk hitting it and ruining any shot of reaching the green in two. Avoiding the left side of this hole on your second shot is the prudent play and will give you a level lie and the best angle into the green. The bunkers left and long of this green will test even the best players sand game. The green has a gentle slope from back to front and right to left.
